Ran a 20-miler on gravel with my three dogs and not a single bootie slipped or wore through, the velcro held tight even on the muddy sections. These feel purpose-built for real distance work, and the pack of 100 means I'm set for the whole season without rationing.
The elastic velcro closure is a lifesaver when your dog's paws are wet and muddy—it still grips tight without slipping. My dog wore them for a solid hour on gravel trails and not a single one came off, though the velcro does pick up a bit of debris.
Took these on a 20-mile training run and they stayed put the whole way, even on a couple of muddy stretches. The elastic velcro is easy to adjust, and while they're not indestructible, they handled the gravel better than I expected for the price.
